おじいさんが、いつものように山で木を切っていました。

昼になったので、昼食にしようとおじいさんは切り株に腰掛け、

おばあさんの握ってくれたおむすびの包みを開きました。

すると、おむすびが一つ滑り落ちて、山の斜面を転がり落ちて

いってしまいました。

おじいさんがおむすびを追いかけると、おむすびが木の根元に空いた穴に落ちてしまい・・

・おじいさんが穴を覗き込んでみると、何やら声が聞こえてきます。

おじいさんが他にも何か落としてみようか辺りを見渡していると、誤って穴に落ちてしまいました。

穴の中にはたくさんの白いネズミがいます。

おむすびのお礼にと、おじいさんに大きい葛篭と小さい葛篭を差し出し、おじいさんにどち

らがいいか聞きました。
